    Tantalum Wire

    Tantalum Wire Description

    Features:
Tantalum wire is highly corrosion-resistant, heat-stable, and exhibits excellent electrical conductivity, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial and scientific applications. Its unique properties, such as high melting point and excellent machinability, allow it to perform reliably in extreme environments. Tantalum wire is preferred for applications requiring high strength, stability, and resistance to aggressive chemicals and high temperatures.

    Applications:
Tantalum wire is widely used in industries such as:

    • Electronics: Used in capacitors, resistors, and specialized electronic components, providing stability and reliability in high-performance devices.
    • Aerospace: Applied in high-temperature applications, such as in components for aircraft engines and heat exchangers.
    • Medical Devices: Ideal for implantable devices and surgical instruments due to its biocompatibility and corrosion resistance.
    • Chemical Processing: Suitable for use in reactors, tubes, and components exposed to corrosive environments in industries like petrochemical processing.

Miji Magnesium provides a variety of tantalum wire products in different grades and specifications, and we can also custom-produce tantalum wire products according to your requirements. For inquiries, please contact: sales@mijimg.com.

    FAQ

Q: What purity levels and tantalum grades do you offer for wire products?
A: We supply high-purity commercial tantalum wire (99.95% / 3.5N purity) and high-purity capacitor-grade wire (99.99% / 4N). We also manufacture tantalum alloy wires such as Ta-2.5W and Ta-10W for extreme temperature and mechanical stress applications.
Q: What diameter ranges and surface finish options are available for tantalum wire?
A: Our tantalum wire is produced in fine to heavy gauge diameters from 0.05 mm to 4.0 mm with precision dimensional control. Available surface conditions include bright drawn, pickled, chemically cleaned, vacuum-annealed, and centerless ground.
Q: How does tantalum wire perform in severe chemical environments and high temperatures?
A: Tantalum wire offers near-complete immunity to chemical attack by hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid at temperatures up to 150°C. In inert gas or high-vacuum environments, it retains excellent mechanical strength at temperatures exceeding 2000°C.
Q: What spooling/packaging options are supplied, and do you provide material test reports?
A: Tantalum wire is delivered on plastic spools (DIN 100, DIN 200, DIN 250), in self-supporting coils, or cut as straight rods. Every shipment is provided with an EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Report detailing chemical purity, tensile strength, and elongation.
